This Limited Warranty only applies to purchases directly from Westan Power. Please consult your dealer or retailer about warranty policy if you buy products from them.

What's Covered

Under normal use, products are warranted against functional defects during the warranty period in accordance with published product materials (user manuals, safety guidelines, specifications).

  • New products: 1 year from purchase date
  • Battery, mainboard, motor: 6 months
  • Defective parts repaired or replaced free of charge

What's Not Covered

  • Misuse, negligence, or accident
  • Operation contrary to user manual instructions
  • Flood, loss, or damage from accidental release/sinking
  • Improper maintenance or unauthorized modifications
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Water damage from o-ring seal failure

How to Get Warranty Service

  1. Email support@westanpower.com with your issue
  2. Customer Service will provide Return/Repair Guide
  3. Provide proof of purchase (receipt) and order ID
  4. Include product model number and code
  5. Pack defective unit in original packaging with all parts

Note: Customer pays shipping to Westan Service Center. Westan pays for return shipping. Warranty is non-transferrable and applies only to original purchaser.

How to install U1 on a Stand-Up Paddle-board?

Installing the U1 on a stand-up paddle-board is very straightforward. It comes with three adapters (Slide & Lock, US Fin Adapter, and Flip & Lock), which can easily be installed on 99% of stand-up paddle-boards, ensuring a quick and seamless setup.

What speed modes does U1 offer?

The U1 offers three speed modes: slow, medium, and fast. It can reach a top speed of 12 km/h, with specific speeds and battery life varying depending on the mode.

How to use U1 for diving and stand-up paddling?

The U1 can be connected to a stand-up paddle-board by simply installing the adapter. For diving, users can operate it by holding onto the hydrofoil.

What is the maximum diving depth of U1?

The U1 has a maximum diving depth of 50 meters, with underwater speeds reaching up to 10.8 km/h.

How does U1 perform on rough seas?

The U1 is designed to provide excellent control and an exhilarating experience on both calm lakes and rough seas. Its powerful propulsion and multiple speed modes allow it to maintain good performance in various water conditions.

Is sea scooter sinking into the water?

No, it will float slightly on the water.

Can I replace the battery underwater or put battery pack into water?

No, it's not safe. The connector of battery pack and main board will break.

Is the sea scooter waterproof?

Yes, the battery, motor and main board connectors are waterproof. Water will enter inside the body while using it.

Why need soak and rinse the sea scooter with fresh water after use?

Sea water contains salt crystals, sand particles and swimming pools have chlorine/acids that can cause corrosion. So it is necessary to rinse it with Fresh Water within few minutes after the dive. The longer you delay to remove materials that cause potential corrosion the more damage can be done.

Why should the battery and sea scooter be kept dry?

Make sure the battery and main boards connectors are completely dry before storage, otherwise it will be damaged due to oxidation in electrolysis after power-on.

Why does the motor not work after power-on some time?

It may be the sand particles or crystals in the motor compartment. Please put the machine into the water for few minutes and then start the machine continuously until the motor works normally.

Can I use the battery pack if the case was broken?

No, We suggest you to contact your local dealer to replace the battery pack.

What if the battery won't charge?

Post-use battery cooling protocol: Let it cool to ambient temperature before charging. Avoid high-temperature storage environments.

Is the device compatible with GoPro or other action cameras?

Yes. The integrated mounting bracket supports standard action camera models, including: GoPro Series, Insta360 Ace Pro, DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, Sony RX0 II.
